Joel Franz

Joel Franz is an accomplished student leader currently serving as the Fiscal Affairs Committee Chair for the Associated Student Government at Emporia State University since February 2024, where responsibilities include managing budgets and revising allocation policies. In addition to this role, Joel serves as a Senator for the School of Business and participates on the Tuition and Fees Committee. As the President of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, Joel has developed strong leadership and management skills. Experience includes working as a Floater/Member Service Representative at Emporia State Federal Credit Union, where Joel is gaining knowledge in various credit union operations, and previously held an internship focused on financial well-being at Meritrust Credit Union. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Emporia State University, anticipating graduation in May 2026, and completed a finance pathway in high school at Newton Senior High School.
