Deep Shah

Deep Shah, PhD, currently serves as a Staff Product Manager at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since May 2023. Prior to this role, Deep worked at Tesla from July 2020 to May 2023, initially as a Senior Cell Engineer and then as a Staff Cell Engineer, focusing on electrode level degradation modes and improving electrochemical testing methods. Deep completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where research focused on lithium-ion transport in electrolytes and received recognition as an Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor. Additional experience includes co-presidency at the Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative and research assistant positions at The Ohio State University, investigating solar cell efficiency. Deep holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Economics from The Ohio State University.
