Giles Ching has a diverse work experience across various industries. Giles started their career in 2007 as an intern at Ernst & Young, followed by an internship at BDO Binder Malaysia in 2008. In 2010, they interned at HSBC. From 2011 to 2015, they worked at Khazanah Nasional Berhad, starting as a Graduate Trainee and eventually becoming an Assistant Vice President.
In 2015, Giles joined Malaysia Airlines as an Assistant Manager and later became the Head of Distribution and Commercial Systems. Giles was responsible for system cutover, contract negotiations, and process improvement. Giles then worked at Malaysia Airlines Berhad as an Independent Consultant, focusing on implementing data analytics and a mobile wallet payment system.
In 2018, Giles joined UEM Edgenta Berhad as the Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy and later became the Head of Digital Healthcare Business. During their time there, they played a key role in digital healthcare initiatives. From 2021 to 2023, they worked as the Head of Digital Healthcare at Edgenta NXT.
In 2023, Giles Ching joined Sime Darby Property as the Head of Corporate Development & New Ventures, where they continue to contribute their expertise in corporate development and new ventures.
Giles Ching completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Exeter between 2007 and 2010. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance, General from the Cass Business School from 2010 to 2011.
