Jacu Vos is an experienced engineering professional with a specialization in electro-optical systems and digital electronics. Currently serving as the Electro-Optical & Electronics Division Manager at SIMERA SENSE since September 2018, Jacu Vos has expertise in systems engineering, product management, and hardware design. Previous roles include Team Leader for Command & Data Handling at Denel Spaceteq, where management of a high-tech team focused on digital electronics was key, and roles at Blue Cube Systems and Sunspace, emphasizing R&D in imaging systems and electronics design. Jacu Vos holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from Stellenbosch University.

We are a dynamic team of scientists, mechanical, hardware, firmware, electronic and optical engineers with a passion to develop complex systems that operates in extreme environments. Collectively we do have more than 200 years of experience developing satellite systems. Our optical payload products are developed with decades of knowledge, world class infrastructure and hands-on experience. The Simera Group has a shared history with the South African small satellite industry and for the past 10 years designed, manufactured, assembled, integrated and tested optical payloads for local and international customers. We are proud of our employees that worked on all the major space related and satellite projects in South Africa over the last 30 years.
