Charlie M. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Charlie started their career as a Junior Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics in 1998 and worked there until 2000. Charlie then moved on to Magiceyes, where they spent nine years as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on developing firmwares for various application processors.
In 2008, Charlie joined Indilinx Korea as a Senior Firmware Engineer, where they worked on the Barefoot project, a second-generation SSD controller. Their responsibilities included not only firmware development but also collaborating with RTL designers and supporting customers for mass production of SSDs.
In 2009, Charlie transferred to Indilinx U.S.A. as a Firmware Team Leader. Charlie managed a team and was involved in the development of the next-generation SSD controller. Charlie also developed firmware for a prototype SSD controller supporting the HLNAND interface.
Charlie then joined Marvell Semiconductor in 2012 as a Staff Firmware Engineer. During their time there, they contributed to firmware development before transitioning to their current role as a Principal Engineer at SK hynix memory solutions inc. in 2016. In this position, Charlie focuses on pre- and post-silicon emulation for debugging, validation, bring-up, and performance improvement of both SoC and FW. Charlie also conducts emulations for proof of concept.
Charlie M. completed their Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering at Chung-Ang University from 1991 to 1996. Charlie then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Computer Vision at the same university from 1996 to 1998.
