Sangkeun Jung

Sangkeun Jung is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Chungnam National University, where research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Understanding, and Entertainment AI since September 2018. In addition to academic roles, Sangkeun has worked as a Senior Researcher at SK Telecom since April 2014, specializing in deep learning and natural language processing for the development of NUGU, a smart speaker. Prior experience includes a Senior Researcher position at the Electronics and Telecommunication Research Institute from May 2012 to April 2014, working on spoken dialog systems and computer-assisted language learning applications, as well as a Senior Researcher role at Samsung Electronics from March 2010 to April 2012, focusing on 3D interface design and development. Sangkeun earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from POSTECH in 2010, having also completed both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in the same field at POSTECH.
