Michelle Labaere

Michelle LaBaere (Loomis) serves as a Senior Metallurgist at SKF Group since February 2023, bringing extensive experience in metallurgical engineering. Previously, Michelle held the position of Staff Metallurgist at Gestamp North America from August 2021 to February 2023, and prior to that, worked at Ford Motor Company from 2013 to August 2021 as both a Metallurgical/Manufacturing Engineer and Lead Process Engineer. Notable achievements include leading the launch of advanced heat treatment systems in new transmission plants, managing multi-million dollar project budgets, and developing cross-functional and cross-cultural teams. Earlier career experience encompasses roles as an Associate Metallurgical Engineer and intern at ArcelorMittal, focusing on quality assurance and improvement in steelmaking processes. Michelle possesses a degree in Material Science and Engineering from Michigan Technological University and has completed training at NOLS.
