Carmel Owen

Carmel Owen has an extensive legal career, currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel at Skyscanner since May 2020, after progressing through roles as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel, Employment. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Solicitor in Employment Law at Mishcon de Reya LLP from September 2017 to April 2020, and completing a Trainee Solicitor position at Charles Russell Speechlys LLP between August 2015 and August 2017, alongside additional trainee roles at Harrods. Carmel began the legal journey as a Paralegal in Employment Law at Withersworldwide from September 2013 to July 2015, with earlier experiences including vacation and summer placements at various firms. Academic background comprises a Legal Practice Course from BPP Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Bristol, complemented by a study abroad experience at the University of Richmond.
