Brian Vessa has extensive experience in the field of audio engineering and film sound standards. Currently serving as the Technology Committee Chair for TC-25CSS on Cinema Sound Systems and as a Standards Participating Member at the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers (SMPTE) since 2004, Vessa also holds the position of Executive Director for Digital Audio Mastering at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where involvement has persisted since March 1998. Additionally, participation in standards development continues with the Audio Engineering Society since 1998. Vessa's earlier roles include Recording Engineer/Producer and Music Editor at BV Productions, as well as experience at NT Audio Visual, MGM, and Cannon/Pathe Films in various sound mixing capacities. Vessa earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UCLA.
