Susie Toro has extensive experience in creative services and brand management. Susie has worked at the Society of Actuaries since 2006, where they held various roles such as Director of Creative Services, Creative Manager, and Brand Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for setting creative direction, maintaining brand integrity, and executing print and digital media projects. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at the Society of Actuaries from 2002 to 2004. Susie also has experience as a Visual Design Associate at Sapient, a Graphic Designer at the Chicago Tribune Media Group, and a Contract Graphic Designer at Kym Abrams Design.
Susie Toro has a Bachelor of Science degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Graphic Design, from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. In 1997, they also briefly studied Fine Arts at the Citée Internationale Universitaire de Paris. In terms of additional certifications, Susie obtained Adobe XD Training from Ascend Training & Consulting in August 2017, completed a UX Interaction Design Course from Designlab in May 2017, and obtained the certification for Successfully Managing People from the American Management Association in December 2015.
