Roberto Iacovacci

Roberto Iacovacci is an experienced professional in the field of nuclear engineering with a focus on radioactive waste and nuclear material management. Currently employed at Sogin since March 2019, Roberto contributes to engineering efforts in this domain. Prior to this, experience at Nucleco SpA involved the characterization of nuclear waste and materials through Gamma Spectrometry and Neutron techniques in collaboration with the European Commission's JRC in Karlsruhe, Germany. Additional roles include a position as a Math Teacher at Liceo Scientifico Charles Darwin and participation in multiple stages, including simulation studies for radionuclide partitioning and transmutation at SCK-CEN and the development of an alpha spectrometry system at ENEA. Roberto holds a Master after master in Nuclear Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel and degrees in Energy and Nuclear Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma.
