Richard Riman

Richard Riman has been a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey since 1986. In 2007, they founded Solidia Technologies, Inc. and in 2010, they founded RRTC, where they serve as Chief Scientist. In 2021, they became Co-Founder and Chief Science Advisor of Queens Carbon, where they are developing hydrothermal processing technology to reduce energy consumption of calcination and material synthesis. Queens Carbon is now a member of Breakthrough Energy's second cohort of Fellows.

Richard Riman holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Materials Science and Engineering, as well as a B.S. Engineering from Rutgers University in Ceramic Engineering.
