Jerry Ozog has a diverse range of work experience in the field of emergency services. Jerry has served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Fire & Emergency Services Institute since 2019, where they are responsible for leading and managing the organization. Prior to this role, Jerry worked as a Consultant and Contract Instructor for their own company, Jerome Ozog Enterprises LLC, starting in 2014.

Jerry has also had extensive experience as a volunteer firefighter and safety officer, serving as the Deputy Chief of Training for the Hampden Township Volunteer Fire Company since 2003. Jerry Ozog has a diverse education history. Prior to that, they undertook continuing education courses at the National Fire Academy/Emergency Management Institute between 1997 and 2014. From 2007 to 2010, Jerry attended the United State Fire Administration/National Fire Academy, earning a degree in Executive Fire Officer. Jerry also obtained a Master's in Public Administration (MPA) from Gannon University from 1997 to 1999 and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Organizational Management from Houghton University from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, Jerry holds several certifications, including Fire Company Officer 4 (1021-2014) from Bucks County Community College in 2021, Fire Officer 3, and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership in December 2021.

South Central Task Force

The South Central Task Force (SCTF) is a regional preparedness organization comprised of representatives from public safety, non-governmental and private sector organizations frorn the counties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York. SCTF was formed in 1997 and granted authorities under the PA Counterterrorism Planning, Preparedness and Response Act 227-2002. The SCTF Mission is to assume a leadership role in delivering a comprehensive and sustainable regional "all hazards" emergency preparedness program that addresses planning, prevention, response and recovery for events in South Central PA that exceed local capabilities. Financial support for SCTF equipment, planning, training and exercise activities is provided through the U.S. DHS Homeland Security Grant Program.
