James Liu

James Liu is an experienced product management and marketing professional with a diverse background in technology and healthcare. Currently a member at South Park Commons since 2022, James co-founded Communa Health, developing an AI-powered care management platform for family caregivers from 2022 to 2024. Previously, James served as a Tech Policy Fellow at The Aspen Institute and as Lead Product Manager at the United States Digital Service, where initiatives included launching a nationwide public health data-sharing platform. As Director of Product Management at Color from 2016 to 2020, James led teams on significant health software projects, including population genomics and COVID-19 testing programs. Prior roles include Product Marketing Lead at Dropbox, where growth initiatives were managed, and Product Manager at babajob, overseeing a SaaS platform redesign. James also held positions at Google in product marketing and began a consulting career at Monitor Group. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Economics from The Wharton School, a minor in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, and an exchange program at Peking University in International Studies.
