Matt Baughman

Matt Baughman currently serves as Associate Director of the Edgar Fellows Program, a leadership initiative founded by former Governor Jim Edgar to cultivate emerging leaders in Illinois public policy. Baughman has been a Board Member for Elevate Illinois since January 2021, promoting the state's positive achievements. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chancellor at Southern Illinois University, overseeing a significant organizational budget and fostering collaboration among senior executives. Baughman also played a key role at the Paul Simon Institute, securing over $10 million in endowment funds and facilitating major fundraising initiatives. Additional positions include Business Coordinator at the University of Central Florida and James H. Dunn Fellow for the Illinois Governor's press office. Baughman holds an MBA from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Illinois College.
