Mike Childers

Mike Childers has over 25 years of experience in the gas industry, with a career at Southwest Gas Corporation beginning in June 1996. Initially serving as a Welder and Construction Technician, Mike progressed to the role of Welding Crew Leader, where critical decisions were made during emergency situations to ensure public safety. Since May 2006, Mike has held various roles, including Specialist in Emerging Technology and RD&D, focusing on the development and management of Pipeline and NDE QA/QC programs, and previously managed corporate policies and compliance as a Corporate Supervisor. Mike has also represented Southwest Gas at industry conferences and committees both nationally and internationally. Mike holds an educational background from Glendale Community College, attended between 1988 and 1990.
