Scott Davidoff

Scott Davidoff is a seasoned research scientist currently at the Space Science Institute, where tasks include conducting user interviews, prioritizing developer needs, and managing product testing and training. Prior experience includes serving as Principal Research Scientist at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where innovative approaches to autonomous planetary rovers were developed and engineering culture was transformed. Throughout a diverse career, Scott has also excelled in various managerial roles, guiding product vision for Mars Rover Spectroscopy Analysis and data visualization initiatives. As a co-founder and Chief Scientist of Virtualitics, Inc., expertise was leveraged to establish a startup focused on AI and machine learning understanding. Scott has held academic roles at Carnegie Mellon University, fortifying a strong foundation in human-computer interaction, complemented by a comprehensive educational background with multiple degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor’s degree from Duke University.
