Christoph Lahtz

Science Director at Space Tango

Christoph Lahtz is a Biological Scientist III and Project Scientist at Space Tango since September 2022, where responsibilities include leading projects on human bone marrow in microgravity and human brain organoids. As a co-founder of the Analog Astronaut Research Exploration and Science Support and Scientarius Institute, active participation in space research initiatives is evident. Christoph is also a graduate of the PoSSUM Scientist-Astronaut Program at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences. Prior experience includes senior and scientist roles in drug development and assay development at Sorrento Therapeutics, and significant research positions at the Beckman Research Institute focused on B cell lymphoma and epigenetic changes. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and a PhD from Justus-Liebig University Giessen.
