Jungnam Yun has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Jungnam is currently working as the Chief Scientist at Spectrum Effect since 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Nokia Networks as a Principal Systems Engineer from 2015 to 2018, where they were responsible for designing algorithms for Self-Organizing-Networks (SON) modules and leading the design and performance evaluation of the CrowdCell project. Before their time at Nokia Networks, Jungnam was employed at Eden Rock Communications as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they designed the Spectrum Sharing Controller and developed algorithms for SON modules. Jungnam also represented NGMN (Next Generation Mobile Network) forum as a delegate. Earlier in their career, they worked at Juni America as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2009 to 2012, focusing on SON algorithm development for Mobile WiMAX and LTE networks. Finally, they were a Senior Staff Engineer at Posdata America R&D Center from 2004 to 2009, where they contributed to the development of Mobile WiMAX systems, including baseband signal processing algorithms and system performance analysis.

Jungnam Yun earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 1995. Jungnam went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in the same field at the same institute from 1995 to 1997. Later, they attended Penn State University from 1999 to 2004, where they earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
