Yuming Yuan began their work experience in 2006 as a Sr. Information Security Analyst at Guidance Software, where they worked until 2018. In 2018, they joined Westfield as a Senior Security Engineer, a role they held until 2023. Currently, Yuming Yuan is the Sr Manager of Cloud Security Engineering at Spotter, a position they have held since January 2023.
Yuming Yuan obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science with Specialization in Computer Security from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 2004 to 2006. Additionally, they have achieved multiple certifications, including the GIAC Defensible Security Architecture (GDSA) from GIAC Certifications in May 2022, the GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester (GCPN) from GIAC Certifications in June 2021, and the GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN) from GIAC Certifications in August 2018. Yuming's other certifications include the GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON) in May 2017, the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) in May 2016, the GIAC Critical Controls Certification (GCCC) in April 2015, the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) in November 2014, the GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) in December 2013, the GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) in November and October 2009 respectively, the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in August 2009, the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) in October 2008, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in July 2008, the GIAC Certified UNIX Security Administrator (GCUX) in May 2009, and the EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE) from Guidance Software in May 2007. Moreover, Yuming achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in November 2018.
