Penny Austin

Penny Austin is a dedicated Secondary School Teacher specializing in Humanities at St Andrew's Cathedral School since January 2022, with a focus on IB Global Politics and various subjects including HSC Legal Studies and Commerce. Currently, Penny serves as a Marker for HSC Legal Studies at the NSW Education Standards Authority. Previous teaching experience includes a role at Kambala from October 2017 to January 2022, where Penny taught Legal Studies, Global Studies, Commerce, and Geography. In addition to teaching, Penny has contributed to the community through voluntary roles, such as serving on the Finance and Audit Committee for JDRF Australia and as an Ethics Teacher for Primary Ethics Ltd. Earlier professional experience includes significant positions in finance, notably as Director of Corporate Coverage at Royal Bank of Scotland Business and Vice President of Corporate Risk at Citigroup Limited. Penny holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Sydney and various qualifications in finance and investment.
