Amir Eshel

Amir Eshel is the Edward Clark Crossett Professor of Humanistic Studies at Stanford University, where an academic career began in 1998. Eshel serves as the Director of The Europe Center within the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies. Previously, Eshel held the position of Director at The Europe Center from 2005 to 2014. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in German Language and Literature from the University of Hamburg, obtained between 1990 and 1998, and earlier studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München from 1988 to 1990.
