Steven Nam

Steven Nam currently serves as the Special Projects Director at the Cyber Policy Center of Stanford University, focusing on the Governance of Emerging Technologies. In addition, Steven holds a position in Policy & Legal at the Ethereum Foundation and has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Journal of Blockchain Law & Policy. Previous roles include General Counsel at the ICON Foundation and Law Steward for the MIT Digital Currency Initiative. Steven has also worked as Chief Strategy Officer at Yosemite X, Inc., and was a Distinguished Practitioner at Stanford University. Academic experience includes serving as a Visiting Professor of Law at the University of California, Davis, and a Visiting Scholar at Columbia Business School. Professional background features several years as an Associate at Jones Day, specializing in Antitrust and Competition Law. Steven’s educational credentials include an MA in Political Science from Columbia University, a JD from Columbia Law School, and dual BA degrees in History and Ethnicity, Race & Migration from Yale University.
