Brian Yates

Brian Yates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in environmental management and consultancy. Currently serving as Managing Director for Stantec in the United Kingdom and Ireland since June 2018, Brian oversees operations for a team of over 3,000 across more than 30 locations, driving growth and development in the region. Previously, Brian held the role of Vice President and Regional Leader in British Columbia, directing business development efforts while fostering community relationships. Prior to Stantec, Brian held leadership positions at SNC-Lavalin, Hemmera, and various other organizations, effectively managing teams and projects related to environmental impact assessment and community engagement. With academic credentials including an M.P.A. in Policy Analysis and a B.Sc. in Biology from Dalhousie University, Brian has built a career focused on the intersection of environmental science and community involvement.
