Lorenz Graef is a seasoned entrepreneur and founder, currently leading the STARTPLATZ AI HUB since August 2023 and co-founding STARTPLATZ in October 2012, which serves as a hub for entrepreneurs in Cologne and Düsseldorf. Graef has also been an editor at Golf Post since 2012 and founded the #STARTUPNATION TO MITTELSTAND initiative in June 2019, aimed at facilitating the integration of Israeli scale-ups into the German market. As Managing Director of Boostpark GmbH from 2011 to January 2024, Graef was instrumental in providing innovative social media solutions. Previously, Graef served as CEO of Globalpark AG from 1999 to 2011, focusing on social CRM and survey software. Graef’s career began as Managing Director at Graef Consulting from 1997 to 1999, specializing in e-learning evaluation. Academically, Graef holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Cologne and has furthered education in several universities across Europe.

STARTPLATZ is a startup incubator and accelerator with branches in Cologne and Düsseldorf and functions as a hub for the Rheinland ecosystem and the local founders’ scene.
