Bill Keach is a seasoned geoscientist with extensive experience in education, research, and professional service. Currently serving as a member of the UVU Earth Science Department Advisory Board and a board member with the Energy & Geoscience Institute, Bill also holds the position of State Geologist and Director of the Utah Geological Survey. In academia, Bill has taught geology courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels while actively engaging in research projects. Previous roles include co-chairing the BYU Geology Alumni Board, serving as an instructional professor at the University of Utah, and working as a Senior Oil and Gas Engineer for the California Department of Conservation. Bill's educational background includes a Master of Science in Geophysics from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Brigham Young University.
