Michael Otis has extensive experience in engineering education and industry. Since August 1996, Michael has served as an Engineering Professor at SUNY New Paltz, specializing in the Division of Engineering Programs, which includes Computer, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering disciplines. Previously, from June 1998 to July 2001, Michael worked as a Staff Engineer at IBM, focusing on the design, simulation, verification, and testing of P-Series switch fabric. Prior to that, from August 1988 to June 2000, Michael was a faculty member in the Electrical Engineering Technology department at Orange County Community College. Academic qualifications include PhD studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a Master of Science in Applied Science from Binghamton University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from SUNY Polytechnic Institute.
