Sundar Subramanian

Sundar Subramanian has extensive work experience in various financial and managerial roles. Sundar began their career as an Assistant Aeronautical Engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited in 1986. Sundar then worked as a Research Associate at Florida Atlantic University, where they conducted research on improving the predictive capabilities of helicopter rotors.

In 1998, Sundar joined Visteon as a Project Engineer before moving on to DaimlerChrysler in 1999 as a Product Engineering Specialist. At DaimlerChrysler, they focused on developing high-performance vehicles and implementing cost-effective predictive capabilities.

In 2004, Sundar joined Chrysler LLC as a Senior Financial Specialist, where they conducted strategic financial planning for international operations and provided support for capital investment decisions and profit optimization.

Sundar then joined SunCoke Energy in 2010 as a Senior Finance Manager, where they worked on improving manufacturing efficiency and profitability across the plant portfolio.

Since 2012, Sundar has been with Steel Dynamics, Inc, where they serve as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. In this role, they lead the company's financial planning and analysis function, including overseeing the annual operating and capital budget, long-range strategic plan, and monthly forecast. Sundar also provides core business analytic support to senior management and prepares materials for board meetings.

Sundar Subramanian has an MBA degree in General Management from Michigan State University - Eli Broad College of Business. Sundar also holds a B.E degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Coimbatore Institute of Technology. In addition, they have a Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, and an M.S degree in Machine Dynamics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
