Xueyuan Vanbastelaer is a Security Machine Learning Researcher at Stellar Cyber since May 2024, focusing on managing assets, correlating security alerts, and designing threat-hunting algorithms. Concurrently, Xueyuan serves as a Research Assistant Professor and Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University since July 2022. Previous experience includes positions at Harvard University as a Research Assistant and Head Teaching Fellow from September 2016 to May 2022, where Xueyuan led the teaching of systems programming. Additionally, various internships were completed at Microsoft, NEC Laboratories America, Inc., UCLA, and Venstar Inc., covering topics from application integrity during installation to developing secure web systems. Xueyuan holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Computer Science from Harvard University, as well as a BS in Computer Science from UCLA.
