Hira Shahid

Hira Shahid currently serves as a Computer Vision Research Engineer at STR since May 2023, following a significant educational journey and diverse experience in technology and research. At Lambda School from March 2019 to June 2023, Hira honed skills in deploying models for real-time object detection and classification in self-driving car applications, and contributed to the development of a web application enabling users to interact with digitized sudoku puzzles. As a Team Lead during studies, Hira managed a team of developers and designers, ensuring successful product cycles and effective communication. Prior experience includes a research assistant role at the Neuro Learning and Decision Making Lab and internships and volunteer work at various organizations, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Data Science certification from BloomTech.
