Berhan T.

Berhan T. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and policy related to internet governance, AI ethics, and human rights. Currently serving as a Research Manager at One Project since July 2023 and a Visiting Researcher at Strathmore University since June 2020, Berhan T. has also held the position of Practitioner Fellow at Stanford University from January 2022 to January 2024. As the AI Harm Lead at The Algorithmic Justice League from August 2021 to June 2023, responsibilities included analyzing AI harm reports and developing response strategies. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Advisor at Internews, a Policy Consultant with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and various positions at Access Now, including Policy Manager for Africa. Berhan T.'s educational background comprises a Master's degree in Peace Studies from the University of Notre Dame and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Malmö University.
