Aashika Shetty

Aashika Shetty is an experienced educator and social justice advocate with a background in teaching and community engagement. Currently serving as a Middle School Associate Teacher at Success Academy Charter Schools since July 2021, Aashika previously held the position of IGR CommonGround Facilitator at the University of Michigan, where responsibilities included planning social justice education programs and facilitating inter-group dialogues. Aashika has also gained valuable experience through internships, such as supporting client success at Countable and contributing to the Gavin Newsom Gubernatorial Campaign. Aashika's leadership was demonstrated as Chair of the Community Engagement Commission for U-M Central Student Government, where initiatives included organizing events and refining university policy. Aashika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
