Marko Luostarinen has extensive work experience in the energy industry. Marko started their career as a Designer at Foster Wheeler Energia Oy in 1998 and then moved on to Sahala Works Oy as a Project Manager in 2004. In 2006, they joined Amec Foster Wheeler as an Engineering Manager. In the same year, they also began working at Sumitomo SHI FW, where they held various roles, including Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager. Marko was later promoted to Chief Engineer, Engineering Management, and then Vice President, Project Execution. Currently, Luostarinen is the Director, Energy Storage Engineering at Sumitomo SHI FW, responsible for managing LAES Engineering and coordinating activities in SFW Operations.
Marko Luostarinen completed their B.Sc in Industrial engineering and management from Pohjois-Savo Polytechnic, Varkaus, between 1994 and 1998. Marko then pursued an M.Sc degree in the same field at Tampere University of Technology from 2002 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Marko Luostarinen has obtained several certifications in various subjects such as Coaching and Developing Employees, How to Stop Wasting Time in Meetings, and Performance Management: Conducting Performance Reviews. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn in February 2022.
