Role:

This position involves operating a tractor to transport goods within a production facility and throughout the Lower Mainland, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Responsibilities typically include navigating routes, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and strictly adhering to commercial driving requirements and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform power jack and warehouse duties as required.
• Clean and wash trucks and trailers.
• Handle invoices and related paperwork meticulously, adhering to HACCP and GMP standards.
• Accurately document shipments and receipts.
• Properly set up truck runs.
• Load trucks safely and in an orderly manner according to route.
• Ensure loads are secured and on schedule.
• Communicate effectively with managers to resolve issues.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Clean driver abstract: no penalty points in the current year, no more than 4 points in the previous year, and no 24-hour suspensions in the past 5 years.
• Knowledge of the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written) with legible handwriting.
• Physical ability to load trucks.
• Successful completion of pre and post-trip inspections and road tests.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
