Mr. Thomas began his career as a project engineer in the specialized field of geotechnical engineering with Pilecon Engineering Bhd in April 1983.
In October 1988, he joined Bauer Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. In a career spanning 27 years, he was extensively involved with the development and installation of large diameter deep bored piles. He was also involved in the development of new techniques for borehole stabilization using third generation polymers and the development of removable temporary ground anchors. He also helped to successfully introduce the installation of high strength soil cement columns for stabilization of road and rail embankments.
Mr. Thomas joined Sunway Geotechnics (M) Sdn Bhd on 15 January 2015 as an executive director. He has held this position since then.
