Jerod Sommerfeldt

Associate Professor at SUNY Potsdam

Jerod Sommerfeldt has a strong background in academia, with experience in teaching and research roles. Jerod began their career as an Adjunct Instructor at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in 2009 and remained in that role until 2011. Jerod then served as an Adjunct Instructor at Miami University from 2011 to 2013. In 2012, they joined the University of Dayton as an Adjunct Instructor, a position they held until 2013. In 2013, they began working at SUNY Potsdam as an Associate Professor, a role they currently hold.

Jerod Sommerfeldt's education history includes earning a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 2001 to 2005. Jerod then pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Music Composition at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2006 to 2008. Jerod furthered their education by completing a DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) in Music Composition at the University of Cincinnati from 2008 to 2011.
