Karl Gilbertson

Karl Gilbertson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the medical device manufacturing and reagent production sectors, currently serving as Senior Manager of Coating Operations at Surmodics, Inc. since September 2011. In previous roles at Surmodics, Karl has led significant initiatives in production scale-up, capacity increases, and new product development. Additionally, Karl contributes to Fair State Brewing Cooperative as a Board Member and Board Chair. Earlier volunteer work includes providing care in the emergency department at Allina Hospitals & Clinics and managing residential life at Luther College, where Karl also earned a BA in Biology and Psychology.
