Alexandra Sastre

Alexandra Sastre, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Director of Campus Communications and has held various roles at Swarthmore College since July 2017, including Senior Associate for Internal Communications and Senior Communications and Marketing Associate. Concurrently, Alexandra contributes as a writer and holds the position of Communications Director at Ideas on Fire since September 2016. Prior experience includes a Graduate Associate role at The Alice Paul Center at the University of Pennsylvania from August 2015 to July 2017 and a Doctoral student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania from July 2010 to December 2016. Additional experience encompasses positions at Night Kitchen Interactive as a Research Coordinator and Project Manager, John Alexander Ltd. as a Gallery Assistant, FNX Limited as an Administrative Assistant, and an internship at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Alexandra earned a Ph.D. and a Master of Arts in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor's degree in Art History from Swarthmore College.
