Markus Jung

Markus Jung currently serves as the Course Director for the Master of Architecture and Urban Design and the Course Director for Urban Design at Swinburne University of Technology, alongside a role as Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Design. As the Founding Director of XPACE architecture + urban design since April 2005, Jung specializes in urban design, water-sensitive urbanism, and master planning. Previous academic positions include Studio 29 Leader at the University of Melbourne, Senior Lecturer at Monash University, and Visiting Professor at Southwest Jiaotong University. Additionally, Jung has held teaching and research roles at Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, ETH Zurich, and professional design positions at several architectural firms, including Marcel Meili, Markus Peter Architekten, Grimshaw Architects, and Sheppard Robson. Jung completed a degree in architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 1997.
