Javad Fattahi (PhD, PEng, SMIEEE) has a long and varied work experience. Javad started their career in 2003 as an Electrical Engineer at CES. In 2006 they moved to ABB as a Lead Engineer. In 2010 they became the Head of Electrical Distribution Dept. at Kish Hydro. In 2012 they joined the Solar Cells and Nanostructured Devices Laboratory at the University of Ottawa as a Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2017 they joined GetSmart Analytics as a Senior Technical Lead and Platform Authority for the MiGEN Project. In 2020 they became the Senior Technical Director and Director of Field Application Engineer at Corinex. Javad currently works at SWTCH as the Director of Engineering and Strategic Project Consultant.

Javad Fattahi holds a PhD in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Ottawa (2012-2015). Javad also holds a Master's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (2009-2011), a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from KIMA (2010-2011), and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (1999-2003). Additionally, they are a Professional Engineer (PEng) and a Senior Member of the IEEE (SMIEEE).
