Alex Mwombe is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in technology, business development, and operations management. As the Acting Chief Information Officer at Swvl since 2021, Alex has made significant contributions, including the world’s first deployment of Temenos T24 R12 and leading the innovative implementation of the M-Shwari service in partnership with Safaricom. Prior experience includes serving as Business Development Manager at klaim, where Alex generated 5M KES in new business, and as Operations and Business Development Manager at Greenhill Investment Company, focusing on corporate real estate solutions. Alex co-founded Cier City Digital, overseeing marketing initiatives and content management. Educational achievements include an Executive MBA from The Wharton School and multiple degrees from United States International University - Africa, showcasing a strong foundation in business and financial management.
