Syght
Cotton A. is an accomplished optical engineer with extensive experience in developing and optimizing optics across various industries. Currently serving as the Principal Optical Engineer at Syght since June 2024, Cotton A. is responsible for enhancing optics in all company products. Prior roles include Principal Optical Engineer at Fathom Radiant, where management of optical datacom development projects was undertaken, and Senior Optical Engineer at ASTRA, LLC, where a bathymetric lidar system was advanced to a pre-production unit. Additional experience includes optical engineering roles at RealD, Research Electro-Optics, InPhase Technologies, and Drive Services, Inc. Cotton A. holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Optical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Portland.
