Michele Johnson

Michele Johnson serves as Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at Synchrony Financial, a position held since July 2015. Previously, Michele held the role of Director of Legislative Affairs at the Credit Union National Association, where legislative analysis and advocacy were key responsibilities. Michele's extensive experience includes vice president roles at Countrywide Financial Corporation and U.S. Bancorp, along with positions at Xcel Energy, the National Hydropower Association, and the United States Senate, where legislative preparation and public affairs management were executed. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The University of North Dakota School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of North Dakota.
