Bill Sweeney

Bill Sweeney is a seasoned professional in government affairs, currently serving as Senior Vice President at AARP since July 2019. Prior to this role, Bill held the position of Staff Director at the U.S. Senate Democratic Policy and Communications Committee from January 2017 to June 2019, where responsibilities included team management and legislative planning. Bill's experience also encompasses critical positions within the office of U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, including Chief of Staff and Senior Communications Adviser, in addition to various finance-related roles in political campaigns. Bill Sweeney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Service from Albion College, graduating in 1998.
