Rafe Lyford

Rafe Lyford is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in cloud application operations and platform engineering. Currently serving as VP of PCF Cloud Application Operations at Synchrony Financial since November 2015, Rafe leads the Pivotal Cloud Foundry platform, managing over 1000 microservices across multiple data centers and successfully established a dedicated Application Operations team. Prior roles at GE Capital included similar responsibilities in designing SOA-based e-commerce infrastructure, with a strong focus on build standards. Early career experiences at Conseco, Inc. and Green Tree Financial Corp. involved web design and development, contributing to foundational web services and online applications. Rafe holds a Bachelor's degree in Music with a Jazz Influence from Lawrence University.
