Melanie Lucas possesses extensive experience in the life sciences sector, currently serving as Global Head of Operations and General Manager in Cape Town at Synexa Life Sciences since March 2009. Throughout this tenure, Melanie has held various titles including Chief Operating Officer, Head of Operations, and Study Manager, demonstrating a strong leadership presence. Prior work experience includes serving as Lab Manager for a plant breeding lab at Stellenbosch University in 2007. Melanie holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences, specializing in Medical Microbiology and Immunology, as well as a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Medical Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology, all from the University of Stellenbosch.
