Michel Moraes

Michel Moraes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the agriculture sector, notably in plant breeding and strategic management. Currently serving as the Genetic Projects Lead for Corn at Syngenta since July 2010, Michel has held multiple roles within the company, including Strategic Marketing Manager and Sugarcane Head Breeder, where responsibilities involved leading breeding programs and managing research collaborations. Prior experience includes positions at CTC - Centro de Tecnologia Canavieira and CanaVialis S.A., focusing on sugarcane breeding and project management. Michel holds a Master of Business Administration from Faculdade de Economia, Administração e Contabilidade de Ribeirão Preto, a PhD in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the University of São Paulo, and a degree in Agronomy also from the University of São Paulo.
