Phil O'Malley

Phil O'Malley is an experienced manufacturing professional with a career spanning over three decades in the dairy and nutrition sectors. As the Manufacturing Manager for Nutritionals at Synlait Milk Limited since July 2022, Phil oversees the performance of the South Island nutritional manufacturing plants. Previously, Phil held the role of Operations Director at Maeil Australia Pty Ltd, managing operations at a state-of-the-art facility. Significant experience includes serving as Operations Manager at Corio Bay Dairy Group, responsible for an organic infant formula spray drying plant, and multiple senior roles at Synlait Milk, including Commercial Manager focused on capital projects and Manufacturing Manager leading extensive production operations. Early career experience includes project management at DairiConcepts LP and asset management at Fonterra Co-operative Group, where Phil was involved in major capital projects and operational management. Phil's educational background includes a degree from the University of Canterbury.
