Tacugama
Since 1995, Tacugama has expanded from a chimpanzee sanctuary to include several critical components of environmental conservation, rural community preservation and education development programs. As a result, Tacugama has emerged as a globally recognized conservation model, combining climate change mitigation, advocacy, law enforcement, ecotourism, women empowerment, one health and alternative livelihood initiatives throughout Sierra Leone.
