Taggle Systems
Over 45 local & regional councils & water utilities use Taggle's Smart Water solution for water conservation, leak detection, demand management, cost reduction & network optimisation. Its Smart Water solution is the most widely used in Australia & delivered 98% of all water meter reads - some 1.3 billion - in 2017 while 70% of Australian Smart Water meters use Taggle's technology. Internationally Taggle's solution is incorporated into Honeywell's next generation of Smart Water meters. The solution incorporates Smart Water meters/sensors, transmitters, long range, high capacity LPWAN communications, analytic software, a customer portal with alerts & network & device management Taggle's rugged, long life, battery-powered transmitters are built to work in demanding environments. Data from thousands of distributed devices provides insight into operations & to help planning, designing, operations & capital management. It comes in an open format for use in software platforms such as SCADA, GIS & hydraulic modelling. Taggle's network covers more than 300,000km2. Other uses include: • Water quality monitoring • Water flow measurement • Cattle tracking • Irrigation monitoring • In-pipe pressure sensing • Sewage flow monitoring • Weather stations • Rain Gauges • Air Quality Monitoring • Soil moisture monitoring • Monitoring the impact of water extraction on aquifers Each radio receiver has capacity of 30,000 transmitters thanks to their collision detection abilities so Taggle needs many fewer receivers than other approaches, saving on receivers & sites. Taggle also offers emerging LPWA standards such as LoRa & NB-IoT allowing customers to choose the best technology for each specific application for their overall IoT and Smart Cities solution. Taggle Systems was founded by pioneers from the company that commercialised Wi-Fi (invented in Australia by CSIRO) who have developed a world leading technology to create data-driven water management systems.
